Introducing One Less Layer—a women-owned start-up driven by over 20 years of experience in law enforcement and inspired by the challenges faced by women across all first responder fields. After enduring years of uncomfortable, poorly fitting shirts and cumbersome sports bras, the founder recognized the need for a better option tailored to women in demanding roles. Determined to make a change, she collaborated with female fire personnel, EMS, and nurses, who shared their invaluable insights and experiences. Their input was crucial in shaping the design and functionality of the One Less Layer compression shirts. These shirts offer built-in support, eliminating the need for a sports bra. They are crafted to ensure a secure, comfortable fit that doesn’t shift, ride up, or bunch under uniforms—no matter how intense the shift. With One Less Layer, women across law enforcement, fire services, EMS, and healthcare can finally have gear that meets their needs, allowing them to focus on saving lives with confidence and comfort.
